Here's what's on my tree
I finally got our tree up at home and I put a little one up at the office. They're both very pretty, I think, even though the home one leans a bit. But if you tilt your head a little, you really don't notice. The one at the office has all handmade ornaments on it. Here are two (and you've seen most of the others).
I should have put some blue behind this one so it would stand out a little more. This is one of the projects for the stamp club. It is very pretty in real life; it's very glittery!!
Stamp set: To You and Yours
Ink: Night of Navy, Brocade Blue classic; Whisper White craft
Paper: Whisper White
Accessories: Silver elastic cord, crop-a-dile, dazzling diamonds glitter, Aqua Painter, Heat & Stick powder, On Board Essentials
This one needs more glitter. I think the snow needs a little sparkle.
Stamp Set: To You and Yours
Ink: Stampin' Write Markers - Perfect Plum, Handsome Hunter, Brocade Blue, Close to Cocoa; Bordering Blue Classic
Paper: Whisper White, Perfect Plum card stock
Accessories: Silver elastic cord, crop-a-dile, dazzling diamonds glitter, Aqua Painter, Heat & Stick powder, On Board Essentials
And here's a little spring for you!!
I had fun with this one. I've had the sketch for over a week in the kitchen, just waiting for the right stamp set. It uses a little sponging, a little two-step and a little kissing.
Stamp set: Flight of the Butterfly
Ink: Pink Passion, Pixie Pink, Apricot Appeal, Gable Green classic; Gable Green Stampin' Write marker
Paper: Pixie Pink, Whisper White, Gable Green, Apricot Appeal card stock
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, Scallop Border Punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Blender pen, stampin' sponges, stampin' dimensionals
If you're wondering where I used the blender pen....I inked the solid butterfly image in Pixie Pink and stamped off one time. Then I inked the polka dot butterfly with Pink Passion and used the blender pen to clean the ink off the butterfly's body. After stamping that image on Whisper White card stock, I repeated the whole process. Then, I inked the butterfly outline in Pink Passion, cleaned ink off the body with the blender pen, colored it back in with a Gable Green marker and stamped this over the second butterfly (using the Stamp-a-ma-jig, of course). I cut both out, then mounted them together with dimensionals. I'm sure there's an easier way, but this was pretty quick, and I like the results.
That's it for today! Tomorrow I'm making more ornaments for the office tree (and for some friends) from the Country Living Holiday Stampin' Kit. Right now, I'm off to play the sympathetic wife....Mike just got home from the gym and is grumbling about me taking his "work space" in the tool room. Well, yeah. I had to move his spin bike downstairs to make room for the Christmas tree, and there wasn't any place else to put it. It's only for a few weeks, after all. (Oh, one advantage to having a very easy- to-get-along-with hubby is - the grumbling is over. It lasted all of 2 seconds. I'm not sure it was really a grumble.)
