I really wanted to post a card last night, so I kind of hurried through the "honey of a day" one. But it was a litle --- what's the word I'm looking for? Oh, yeah - boring! So I played around with it today, and here's the revised version.
The original is the smaller one, and the new one is on the right. I added a little sponging (Rose Red), a bow (Old Olive), the Rose Red layer at the top and another scallop photo corner. I like it a lot better!
Here's one that uses the Love You Much bundle (except for the paper - obviously!).
I gave Mom a purse for Christmas. I think I picked it out because I loved the colors. The primary ones were Night of Navy and Green Galore. I love that combination, so here's the card it inspired.
I stamped the big heart in Night of Navy, then overstamped with VersaMark and embossed with clear powder. That way I could color the heart and the open flowers without the navy ink bleeding. I did the same with the little hearts, but with different colors (Ballet Blue, Night of Navy and Green Galore).
Here's the supply list -
Stamp set: Love You Much
Ink: Night of Navy, Green Galore, Brocade Blue, Bashful Blue (classic pads and markers); VersaMark
Paper: Night of Navy, Green Galore, Very Vanilla, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Stampin' Dimensionals, Coluzzle cutting system, White gel pen, corner rounder punch, Heart to Heart punch, clear embossing powder, mini glue dots, White taffeta ribbon (dyed Green Galore), stampin' sponge
To dye the taffeta ribbon, I just ran the ribbon between a Green Galore stamp pad and a sponge. Then I turned it over and did it again. Worked great! Less messy and less drying time than using refills, and I think it came out pretty evenly dyed.
I'm off to see if I can use the Stamp-a-ma-jig imaging sheet to transfer an image to card stock (to make a reflection). I'm thinking if you use the smooth side, it will work really well - but I'll find out for sure and report back!
I love all three cards, but agree with you on the second try with the bee card is the better. As for the "Love you Much" card, I love, love, love the design. The color is really cool and I will probably copy to some degree. However, think of this design in reds ( the true Valentine colors), wow. I am soooooo glad I ordered the bundle. Can't wait to use it.
